Founding pastors, Donald and Julienne Batubenga are the lead pastors of New Heart Ministries International based in Boise. The church was founded in 2007, initially meeting in their home. Both were born and raised in Lubumbashi, the second-largest city in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. They’ve been married since 1995 and are the parents of four beautiful children.
Pastor Donald graduated from Wits University, South Africa with a degree in Organic Chemistry, but God had a different plan and called him from doctor to pastor. He later graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center, South Africa with an Associate Degree in Ministerial Training. In 1997, God opened the door and blessed Pastor Donald with the opportunity to attend Boise Bible College and later graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies in 2000.
Mama Pastor AKA Mama Mchungaji with her infectious laugh and big smile brings joy to every room she walks in. She has faithfully and boldly stood alongside Pastor Donald in serving, encouraging, and cultivating God’s people over the decades. With a specific passion and ministry of family, she especially enjoys pouring her wisdom, lessons learned, and encouragement from her years of motherhood into both young and experienced mothers.
Together, they have been committed to transforming lives and bringing healing to the hearts of God’s people and the community. They serve as a steady example and encouragement to many as they exemplify how to lead joyful and successful lives. Together they want you and your family to succeed.
